For safety and stability, Holmatro always advises extending your cylinders from the bottom. The larger surface area at the base provides greater stability, while extending cylinders on the plunger increases the risk of buckling. (For the HATC 80/28 cylinders, an adapter plate is required.) When de load/vehicle is not placed on the on the cylinders, but directly on the traverse sled, a top plate is required!
