Transport of a piping module

Moving pipe modules at a refinery. Commissioned by Instar, Holmatro supplied a synchonized positioning system combined with a skid system.

Situation

JSC Antipinsky Refinery was founded in July 2004 on the territory of one of the major oil and gas producing regions within the Russian Federation – The Tyumen Region, where most of Russian oil (64%) and natural gas (91%) reserves are concentrated.  For the Antipinsky Oil Refinery,  Instar Logistics transported pipe modules with a size of 35x8x8 meters and a weight of 200 tons.

Challenge

On site at the Antipinsky Oil Refinery, the pipe modules needed to be transported and positioned.

Solution

Instar used a synchonized positioning system with six 150 ton aluminium cylinders in combination with a skid system.

Holmatro’s Skid Systems are suitable for moving industrial objects and installations of exceptional size and weight, to locations where using a crane is not an option. Due to the user-friendly modular construction of both systems they can be easily adapted for each load size and project.
