Lightweight and compact hydraulic wedges
Hydraulic wedges, otherwise known as flange spreaders or lifting wedges, are used to lift heavy loads or to separate parts of a construction from one another. The shape of the hydraulic wedge make it possible to use it with a minimal insertion space (5 to 10 mm). There are hydraulic (lifting) wedges that only lift vertically and wedges that can be used in all positions. Most hydraulic wedges are lightweight and compact and can therefore be used in small spaces where it is not possible to use other lifting mechanisms.
Lifting loads from a flat surface
Holmatro's hydraulic wedges have been developed to lift a load from a flat surface that has a minimal insertion space. They create an opening from which to start in spaces other tools cannot get to. This makes the spreading wedges suitable for many different applications such as lifting machines, spreading flanges, dismantling and assembly, adjustment and alignment.
Hydraulic spreading wedges or flange spreaders are designed to separate flanges without damaging them or the spread arm. Flange spreaders are used in particular for maintenance work. It is also possible to use several spread wedges next to one another in order to spread the force.
