New power pack for push button sailing

11/17/2008 At METS 2008 Holmatro Marine Equipment introduces the HEP 400, a new addition to its range of extremely compact power packs for push button sailing. This lightweight electric pump follows its predecessor the HEP 200, suitable for boats up to 50 ft, and will operate rigging hydraulics onboard yachts up to 60 ft.

Holmatro’s new power pack is designed to control up to four different hydraulic rigging functions with the touch of a finger. Available in 12 and 24 VDC models, it operates five to eight times faster than a manual pump. Connected to a push button control panel, the whisper-silent unit powers backstay cylinders, outhaul cylinders and boom vangs.

You can upgrade the push button control panel with the ERV 12/24 electric release valve, positioned within easy reach for quick, finger-touch release of the powered functions.

Quick and easy

The HEP 400 is quick and easy to install, and compatible with existing manually operated high-pressure hydraulic rigging systems, enabling upgrade to a push button controlled system with minimum effort, for maximum ease of sailing.

The HEP 400 and the ERV 12/24 are part of Holmatro’s rigging hydraulics range, which includes integral (backstay) adjusters, cylinders, boom vangs, control panels, pumps, mast jacks and various accessories. Holmatro offers worldwide service for these products.

With a commitment to innovative technology and advanced materials, Holmatro hydraulic rigging systems give you the optimal combination of performance and ease-of-use.
