Cutting cables ergonomically

The ICU 05 is Holmatro’s smallest and lightest mobile hydraulic cutter for heavy industrial applications. Its compact and lightweight design makes this cutter most suitable for recycling and demolition purposes 'in the field'. The cutting of (aluminium and copper) cables is a skill of its own. Therefore, Holmatro has developed special blades with blade guide for the ICU 05.

Controlled cutting force

The ICU 05 A 10 blade guide controls the play between the blades. Due to its design, the blades keep cutting straight in relation to each other, and they cannot become distorted or separated. The cable blades also have a special protection coating which prevents the material from “sticking” to the blades. The effect is that the cutter keeps its maximum cutting force and life span.

Being manufactured in high-grade aluminium the ICU 05 is strong but also extremely light. Not only an advantage for productivity, it also decreases the physical effort for the user.

Like all other Holmatro industrial cutters, the ICU 5 is characterized by a safe operation. With features like a dead man’s function, shielded moving parts and the necessity to operate the tool using both hands, the risk of accidents is being decreased as much as possible.

Multifunctional

The blades of the ICU 5 are interchangeable with other blade types. The cutter can therefore be brought into action for other applications, including cutting catalytic converters from so-called ELV's (End of Life Vehicles), as well as for cutting steel plate, tubes, pipes, (door and window) frames and wood.
